Common questions
What are tokens and how many do I need?
Tokens power aida’s AI features, every data validation, mapping and analysis uses tokens. Every allowance is a monthly value, refreshed each month: Free gives you 50,000 tokens a month. aida Small includes 1 million, aida Medium 2.5 million, and aida Premium 10 million, per month. You can buy additional tokens on any plan at any time.
What happens when my free month is up?
aida Free is a one-month trial, not a permanent tier. To continue on a paid subscription, choose aida Small, aida Medium or aida Premium. The trial does not convert or charge you automatically. Everything you’ve measured, uploaded and set up carries over when you choose a plan. We’ll flag the trial end date in advance.
How does employee-based pricing work?
aida Small covers up to 25 employees, all included in the base price. aida Medium covers up to 250: the first 25 are included, then each further bracket of 25 is added on top, and each bracket costs 15% less than the one before, so the more people you cover, the lower the marginal cost. Medium’s first added bracket is £192/mo. Seats, sites and employees are separate levers, so you only pay for what you actually use.
Why is aida Premium a custom quote?
aida Premium is a bespoke contract, scope, modules, jurisdictions, support level and integrations all vary by organisation. It starts from £22,000 per year (equivalent to £1,833 per month), or £20,000 per year on annual billing, excluding VAT. There’s no self-serve calculator for it; talk to us and we’ll price the actual shape of your deployment.
Can I upgrade between plans as I grow?
Yes. All plans are designed to build on each other, every feature you set up carries forward. You can upgrade at any billing cycle and we’ll pro-rate the difference.
We’re a small business but a larger client is asking for Scope 3 data, what do we do?
aida Small includes full Scope 3 activity data, supply chain mapping, and data quality ratings, everything you need to respond confidently to a client’s supply chain request without jumping to a larger plan.
What’s the difference between the Report Generator and Report to export?
The Report Generator (aida Medium and above) builds and formats your reports inside the platform. Report to export (aida Premium) lets you output fully formatted, board-ready and externally shareable documents, including white-label versions for client-facing use.
Does the 10% annual discount apply to all plans?
Paying annually saves 10% on aida Small, aida Medium, ESG Starter and ESG Transition Pro base pricing. Flexible and specialist add-ons keep their published monthly rate. aida Premium is also cheaper on annual billing: £20,000 per year instead of £22,000. Talk to us and we’ll price the actual shape of your deployment.
Why do some add-ons run on a 12-month term?
Our specialist modules, Storytelling & report design (from £300/mo) and ROI analysis (from £149/mo), involve significant expert time and production cost. To keep them affordable as monthly pricing, they run on a 12-month term. Flexible add-ons and core packages run on standard monthly billing.
Is my data safe and private?
Completely. Your data is encrypted and never shared with third parties or used to train AI models, on any plan, including Free. Every team member gets a role-optimised experience with workflows specific to their expertise.
